Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
River stones lay the foundation of this Chardonnay’s aroma of crisp pear, white peach, and orange blossom. Fuji apple, lemon zest, and pineapple dance across the tongue. The creamy texture and long finish play in perfect harmony with its bright acid. Enjoy within the next three years to savor this wine in its prime.

Vineyard Notes
Known for distinctively elegant, refined Chardonnays, the Russian River Valley produced yet another spectacular vintage in 2016. With Sonoma County still in dire drought, which had plagued the past years, moderate rainfall in January and March led to higher crop yields than 2015. The focal point of the 2016 Harvest was a short cool spell in mid-September, allowing some of the grapes grown for this wine to remain on the vine for an additional week, providing extra development of crucial flavors
Production Notes
Grapes for this wine were hand-picked in the dead of the night to early morning, when they were hand sorted and whole cluster pressed. The Russian River Valleys long cool foggy mornings allow for the crew to take their time in handling this delicate fruit with great care on its way to tank. With no malolactic conversion, and fermented entirely in stainless steel, the intention of this wine is the preservation of the personality of pure Chardonnay.
