		Tasting Notes
From the storied Heintz Vineyard, the 2016 vintage provided for a wine that quickly became an in-house favorite. One is immediately engulfed in the imagery of walking through the forests of West Sonoma County. Pine needles, forest floor, all spice, sage and tarragon build an extravagant aroma. In the mouth, bright cherry, cranberry and red plum provide sweet but sharp fruit flavors to be complimented by a backdrop of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom and worn leather.
		Vineyard Notes
Located on the second ridge in from the Pacific Ocean at 900 ft. elevation, the Charles Heintz Vineyard has been farmed by the Heintz family for the past 100 years. This vineyard thrives in the Sonoma Coast AVA where the microclimate consists of foggy mornings and moderate summer days. This site is comprised of Goldridge sandy loam soil which provides excellent drainage and encourages deep rooting with minimal vigor, resulting in ideal terroir for premium Pinot Noir.
